Visual Artist, Arts Worker
Allison Reynolds is an emerging Visual Artist with a bunch of other skills that come in handy in the art world, learned from going wide not deep.
Recently Allison produced, and showed, a textile-based sculptural contemporary art piece “Myelin: My Own Business” and plans to work more on exploring her neurological disability through various art forms.
Although a latecomer to the art world, she has won two second prizes for abstract works in the Outback Archies 2018 and STAR ART 2019.
Allison founded Creatives Collective ARI inc., a 100% disabled led and managed, disabled artists’ group in Coonabarabran. Allison is passionate about creating spaces for disabled artists to work and was the force that brought about the opening of the not-for-profit social enterprise art gallery SPACE in Coonabarabran and volunteers as its director.
Allison plans to spend more time in the studio than in front of the computer in 2021.
